Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art and combat sport that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting with the goal of gaining a dominant position, from which to force an attacker to submit. The system was developed by the Gracie family from a modified version of pre-World War II Judo and Jiu Jitsu with a focus on ne-waza (ground technique).


The Arena MMA training brings all our training styles together to cover all aspects, including Kickboxing,muay thai, Boxing, BJJ, Wrestling and Fitness. MMA is the fastest growing sport in the world as well as an amazing workout and means of self defence.The classes are a lot of fun and offers great career opportunities for those at high levels of practising.


The Boxing classes at the Arena are for people with No boxing background to the more experienced boxer wanting to enjoy the world of boxing in a safe and enjoyable environment either just to get fit or to compete in a boxing compertition.

Muay Thai uses every part of your body , it is an excellent way to get fit and learn a great martial art. The classes accommodate any level & with great coatches on hand learning is our biggest priority!

Circuit based exercises designed for the endurance and fitness required in grappling and fighting sports. Also a great opportunity to learn how to train to increase your grappling/fighting fitness.


The Arena MMA offers a highly successful and rewarding youth and children's programme. Our Graded training syllabuses allow the students to develop concepts and establish a level of personal fitness while developing gross motor skills and proprioception. Whilst our main focus is on developing self discipline and having fun, the opportunity still exists for competition, if the child and parent wish.
