KIDS BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling orientated combat sport and self-defence martial art based on taking your opponent to the ground, controlling your opponent to gain a dominant position and using various techniques to trap them in a submission. BJJ is known as the "gentle art", BJJ using the principle of leverage, timing, angles and a combination of dynamic and explosive movements.

We offer two different programs for our BJJ kids, our Minis and Juniors program. We have split the programs up according to age, this ensures that everyone in the class is around the same size, maturity level and skill level. Check out the descriptions below for more info!

MINIS PROGRAM

In our BJJ Minis program, we teach basic BJJ techniques including the six main positions, transitions, escapes and some submissions. We strive to make the classes and learning fun for the kids so we incorporate BJJ based games alongside their technique drills to consolidate the main concepts/principles!
